Product news: Pivot Cycles Les Fat

15 January 2015 by the editorial office

Market: The American bike manufacturer Pivot Cycles has really stepped on the gas in recent years. With the new signing of freeride legend Aaron Chase, the company has now taken the next step and is presenting the new Les Fat fat bike at the same time.

A few days ago, Pivot Cycles snapped up freeride legend Aaron Chase. With the all-round talent, you now have one of the most influential drivers on the scene on board. But this is not the only novelty from Pivot. At the same time, the Americans are presenting their new fat bike, the Les Fat.

The carbon bike is typically Pivot simple and has some interesting features ready. There is a special drop-out system for the different plussize wheel sizes, the Swinger || System developed in which not only the length of the chain stays but also the height of the bottom bracket can be adjusted to the wheels.
The bike can also be ridden with the well-known Bluto fat bike suspension fork from Rock Shox or with a rigid carbon fork developed by Pivot. Another unique feature of the frame is the massive down tube. The oversize down tube, in combination with the slim pressure struts, should ensure exceptional comfort and still provide sufficient propulsion.

Features

  • carbon frame
  • swingers || Drop out system
  • internal trains
  • compatible for all fat tire sizes
  • luggage rack mount
  • Tire clearance up to 5 inches

What the new bike can do, the new team rider should show right away, Pivot apparently thought, so Aaron Chase was put on the new bike and let him ride on terrain that is not quite so typical for fat bikes.
