Cycling: Olympic champion Samuel Sánchez will also start for the BMC Racing Team in 2015. The Asturian only switched to the US cycling team in 2014, where he has now signed for another year.
Sánchez was a key contributor to the BMC Racing Team's success last season. In addition to his good placings at the Vuelta a Espana (sixth place) and the Lombardy Tour (fifth place), he supported his teammates Philippe Gilbert and Cadel Evans significantly in their successes. In the 2015 season, Samuel Sánchez will focus on the Grand Tours and WorldTour races. The entire team should also benefit from the experience of the 2008 Olympic champion in the coming season. The first race for the Asturian is the “Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race”, which will take place next weekend.
