Lifestyle: It's well known that Danny MacAskill cuts a fine figure on the trials bike. But a full-suspension bike also suits the Scotsman well. This is proven by his brand new mountain bike clip The Ridge. In it he crosses the Cuillin Ridge on a fully, a previously untouched mountain ridge on his home island Isle of Skye. Unique terrain, steep cliffs and peaks at dizzying heights - the clip leaves nothing to be desired.
"It was definitely one of the toughest locations we've ever shot on. It was worth it for that.", says filmmaker Stu Thomson. “Danny and I are very proud to be from Scotland. So it's great to show the incredible scenery combined with Danny's driving skills.”
Danny effortlessly cuts through the rough terrain with its small car-sized rocks and unforgiving lines. Danny may seem unusual on a fully to some observers, but for him it was a long-cherished wish to explore the Isle of Skye more closely: “Ever since I was a child on Skye, I have dreamed of biking the Cuillin Ridge. The project took quite a long time to plan and was probably one of the most physically demanding. It was a labor of love to show people the island and to make everyone who lives there proud to live in such a beautiful place.”
