Cycling: Italy's Gianluca Brambilla (Omega Pharma-QuickStep) was in tears after the jury took him out of the race a few kilometers from the finish. Until then, he was part of a three-man leading group.
The reason for the disqualification was already a few minutes ago at this point. During an overtaking maneuver, Brambilla got into an argument with the Russian Ivan Rovny (Tinkoff-Saxo). Both then shared a few punches. The jury of the Vuelta a Espana took this as an opportunity to get both drivers to give up at the finish line.
