So, dear friends, I'm back in the USA now. Along with Away with the Champs I will be leading a camp through Colorado this week and will report exclusively to you daily here on Velomotion.
It started yesterday. We first flew from Zurich to Frankfurt before going via Denver to Grand Junction. Here we have once in style with new Colorado-Caps and were greeted by a beautiful sunrise at 6:35am.

The week couldn't have started any better, because the participants of the camp have a lot to look forward to. Together we will delve deep into the heart of the border region between southeastern Utah and southwestern Colorado. We will cycle to the supernatural landscapes of the Arches and Canyonlands- National Parks driving that is challenging La Sal Mountain Loop Road conquer and drive under the 240 meter high walls of red sandstone inside the Colorado River Canyon.
An exciting program awaits us on the first day. The tour begins on Colorado National Monument's Rim Rock Drive with a 37-mile drive through what National Geographic has named one of the top 10 most beautiful areas in the United States.
On the second day we saddle up on the MTB to explore the John Brown Canyon on remote roads. After lunch we switch back to the road bikes and ride the 40 km long and paved descent down through the Castle Valley to Moab and Red Cliffs Lodge.
The third day is all about Arches National Park. But I don't want to tell you too much here, you can look forward to the blog entry.
# The tools are still packed in my B&W International suitcases.
Moab is practically the cradle of mountain biking in the USA, which is why we devote ourselves to the trails on the fourth day before we finally tackle the La Sal Mountain Loop Road the following day. Finally, we will switch back to mountain biking and end the camp in Moab on the sixth and last day.
So you can look forward to exciting impressions and great photos.
See you,
Your Ulle!
