Cycling: The Orica-GreenEdge team has suspended one of its key riders a few days before the start of the Tour de France. Daryl Impey, who was allowed to wear the yellow jersey last year, tested positive at the South African Championships.

According to team information, Impey was notified by the South African Institute for a Drug-Free Sport that he had tested positive for both A and B samples for the drug probecenid after the South African Championships on February 6, 2014.

Orica-GreenEdge has suspended the South African for the time being, but allows him to clarify the matter. Impey was not in the squad for the tour that started on Saturday.
