As has just been announced, Nicolas Vouilloz, Lapierre team rider and downhill legend, injured himself on one of his first training rides and will miss the start of the Enduro World Series in Chile. Vouilloz had already injured his hand after his EWS win in Val d'Allos last year, which meant he was sidelined for a long time. In addition, the fast Frenchman had an operation on his knee at the same time and did not contest any more races for the rest of the year. On one of his first training rides, he lost his balance on a slow section, caught his pants in the saddle and fell. He injured his meniscus. Vouilloz will therefore be absent for the start of the Enduro World Series in Chile in mid-April. The goal now is a quick and complete recovery so that he can start the second stop of the EWS in Scotland.
