After pedaling for Team Maxx Solar for the past two years, I'm taking a slightly different path this year. The garish neon yellow is now replaced by a rich blue. Last weekend I was able to go to the fair bike food present the new jersey of the Koga Ladies-Central Rhede-Fachklinik Dr.Herzog-Cycling team for the first time with my new teammates.
However, as some of the girls are currently in Cali, Colombia for the Track World Championships, only the remaining ten riders were there, including reigning Bundesliga winner Esther Fennel.
A tight schedule awaited us in Essen. Two presentations were held, first at the booth of our team sponsor Koga and then at the booth of the state association of North Rhine-Westphalia. A few autograph cards were also signed and I had the opportunity, as I am new to the team, to get to know the girls a little better. It was a tiring but successful day. I think I'll find my way into the team quickly. The season will certainly be successful. My racing calendar is ready. But before I pin my bib number to my new jersey for the first time, tomorrow it will be: Mallorca. I will collect my remaining training kilometers here by mid-March and also test one or the other product. The results are then in the usual place.
