Saarlander Sascha Weber (Veranclassic-Doltcini) has established himself as a solid authority in the German cyclocross scene behind Philipp Walsleben (BKCP-Powerplus) and Marcel Meisen (Kwadro-Stannah). This year he has underlined his position with some strong races, just think of his 16th place at the World Cup in Rome or his bronze medal at the DM in Döhlau.
For his races, Weber can rely on a Specialized Crux in the striking color scheme Gloss Neon Blue Charcoal Hyper To fall back on. Appropriately, the bike is also equipped with an exciting mix of components. First falls thereby at the front of the WCS monocurve from Ritchey, a carbon handlebar with a width of 42 centimeters and an integrated stem that is 100 millimeters long.
When it comes to gears, Weber relies on Shimanos Dura Ace 9070 Di2, i.e. the electronic variant of the current top group of the Japanese. However, like some other riders, he combines them with a Shimano Ultegra 6800-Crank. In his case, too, this is probably due to the fact that there are currently not enough Dura-Ace-Chainrings with a gear ratio of 46 to 39 teeth, which is typical for cyclocross, are in circulation.
Another striking detail are the neon yellow revoxTRP cantilever brakes. The lever arms are made of carbon and fit perfectly into the color scheme of the bike. The same applies to the wheels. Weber mounts the rather rare Ursus here T28, on which he puts Dugast tube tires. The corresponding tire model depends on the condition of the route. In the version we got in front of the camera, the bike weighs a slim 7,6 kilograms.
