Just a few days ago it was announced that Rèmy Absalon, fourth place finisher in this year's Enduro World Series, is leaving his long-term partner Commencal Bikes. However, at that time it was not yet known which brand the fast Frenchman would line up for in the future.
Scott Sports has now announced its collaboration with the brother of two-time Olympic champion Julien Absalon. Absalon signed a three-year contract and is thus taking on the new Genius LT 700 Place. As part of the newly established Scott Sr Suntour Enduro Team he will take part in the Enduro World Series and other major Enduro and Megavalanche races. His nickname "Mr. downhill marathon” is no coincidence. Absalon has already won the prestigious Megavalanche Alpe d'Huez three times.
“After nine years at Commencal I needed a new challenge. I wanted to start a new chapter with a new refreshing partner and a great bike, so Scott was the solution to my problems.”, according to Remy himself.
His new work tool is based on the Genius LT 700. It is equipped with components from Shimano and Sr Suntour. The tires are made from the Michelin range. Total weight: 12,4 kilograms.
