Cycling: Reigning Enduro World Series Champion Jared Graves is also out for the next two EWS races. After injuring both shoulders in a fall a few days before the Crankworx event in New Zealand, the recovery is taking longer than expected.
The season started promising for Jared Graves. Last year's EWS Champion and enduro dominator fell on a training ride before the race in Rotorua, sustaining a shoulder fracture in both shoulders. Although he still traveled to New Zealand and could also be seen on his bike, it wasn't enough for the demanding trails of the Enduro World Series.
After a break of almost ten weeks, Graves has now commented on his injury in an interview and had to report that he will also be absent in Ireland and Scotland. According to his own statement, he is fit enough and his shoulders are resilient, but the pain is too great with unpredictable maneuvers and loads.
This puts the Yeti team rider out of the running for the EWS Champion crown. In France in mid-July, however, he would like to be back at the start and is confident that he can also take part in the win.
