For Kristina Vogel, the Track World Cup in Manchester continued on the second day where the first day ended: on the podium. In the sprint, the woman from Erfurt secured the second gold after winning the team sprint. In the final she confidently prevailed against Wai Sze Lee (Hong Kong).
The German representatives were also happy for the men. Maximilian Levy came second in the keirin. In the final only Frenchman Francois Pervis had the wheel in front. Hersony Canelon from Venezuela finished third, Tobias Wächter was fifth.
In the other competitions, however, the German starters were left behind. The omnium of the men secured the Belgian Jasper De Buyst. The Irishman Marti Irvine did the same in the points race. Victory in the pursuit went to Italy's Marco Coledan, who beat Russia's Artur Serov in the final.
