The wheel can no longer be reinvented? Not even close! Scott shows us what is still possible with the innovative solutions for the new mountain bikes and e-MTBs for the year 2022. The resourceful inventors, who incidentally brought the first bike lines with 2012 inch wheels onto the market in 27,5, have them new 2022 bikes packed with great features. Integrated damper in the frame
Looks like a fully, but where's the damper? This sentence would not be reprehensible when standing in front of one of the new Scott bikes. Because Scott has managed to hide the shock completely in the frame of the brand new mountain bikes and e-MTBs. In addition to the elegant look, the damper is of course perfectly protected from dirt and therefore requires much less maintenance. In addition, a stiffer frame construction is possible and larger bearings can be installed at the pivot points - the latter not only improves performance, but also service life. Additional space is saved in the frame triangle itself, for example to be able to attach larger, more accessible drinking bottles. Especially with conventional mountain bikes Spark RC and Spark 900 Without an electric drive, the integrated damper is very low, which improves the bike's center of gravity. The damper is adjusted using the so-called TwinLoc system, which can be conveniently operated from the handlebars. Should it nevertheless be necessary to make adjustments directly on the damper, these can be easily reached via a flap in the down and top tube.
Cockpit with integrated trains
The clean look of the integrated damper is continued in the cockpit: Scott elegantly hides all the cables from the gears, brakes, seat post and TwinLoc under the handlebars before they finally run completely inside the stem. Here's how Scott might have created the tidiest mountain bike cockpit ever! This design also significantly reduces cable kinking. The high-quality mountain bikes and e-MTBs of the different model series have carbon handlebars that are fused with the stem to form one part. This ensures an extremely low weight with significantly more rigidity. The cheaper bikes, on the other hand, are equipped with aluminum handlebars, which, like the carbon handlebars, also come from Scott's component brand Syncros.

Scott Spark RC 2022: New edition of the successful XC World Cup mountain bike
It's one of the most successful mountain bikes in the World Cup: the Scott Spark RC. However, Scott has not rested on his laurels - on the contrary, the Spark RC has been completely redesigned for 2022 in collaboration with Nino Schurter and Kate Courtney. The result is a high-end cross-country bullet that will certainly win again in the World Cup. The damper, hidden in the frame, sits just above the bottom bracket; this keeps the center of gravity of the bike nice and low. In addition, this construction enables refined response of the damper and at the same time ensures more tire clearance. In addition, Scott achieves greater rigidity with the mountain bike's bulky down tube, which means less material is used. So like the Spark RC 2022 frame only 1870 grams with shock! Thanks to the TwinLoc system, you can conveniently adjust the fork and damper to the respective riding situation from the handlebars using a single lever unit. The top model Spark RC SL EVO AXS 2022
With a remarkable 10,1 kg, this mountain bike is an absolute racing file. In addition, almost everything that can be made of carbon on this cross-country bike is made of carbon. The Fox Factory spring elements leave nothing to be desired and ensure good cushioning. Scott relies on the electronic SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS for gear shifting. Scott Spark 900: The trail bike variant of the successful XC World Cup mountain bike 2022
The Spark 900 is the big brother of the Spark RC, if you want to put it that way. Scott uses the same frame here, but equips the mountain bikes with more robust components accordingly. With the specially developed headset, the steering angle can be changed by 0,6°. This can be easily rotated by 180° - so the geometry of the bike can be easily changed. But in any case comes with that Spark 900 an absolutely uncompromising device into the house. It doesn't matter whether you call it a trail bike or downcountry. The aggressive steering angle of 65,8° promises good control on faster descents; the low weight of the bike ensures proper propulsion. For example, if you want to really burn off some energy on your trail-heavy house lap and want to set new lap records, you will definitely be successful with the Spark 900. While the high-end models are made entirely of carbon, the inexpensive models are made of aluminum. For mid-range mountain bikes Spark 900 the main frame is made of carbon, the rear swingarm is made of aluminum.
The top model Spark 900 Ultimate EVO AXS 2022
As with the top model of the Spark RC, Scott am Spark 900 Ultimate EVO AXS on carbon as far as the eye can see. The subtle but very harmonious color concept is convincing and matches the value of the trail bike. As with the Spark RC, Scott relies on the electronic SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS for gear shifting. Fox Factory spring elements ensure comfort. Scott Patron eRIDE: Massive innovation in an E-MTB
Everything about this bike is high-tech! Scott continues with the new Patron eRIDE - that we already presented here have – standards among E-MTBs. Many well thought-out details give the buyer lasting pleasure and one may ask: why has no one thought of this before? These are, for example, rear lights that are integrated into the small mudguard. Or the way the motor is installed that is twisted upwards, which protects it better from contact with the ground and ensures better heat dissipation upwards. The detachable Bosch Kiox 300 display is simply and centrally mounted on the stem-handlebar unit and informs the rider about all important functions. The system can also be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth.
The geometry of Patron eRIDE is designed for smooth running and good climbing properties due to its long chainstays and long reach. Scott defines this E-MTB as a trail bike – but with its 160mm of travel and a steering angle of around 65 degrees, it is definitely up to rougher enduro use and should give its rider a lot of fun going downhill.
While the 900 model numbers have a carbon frame, the 910 and 920 model numbers have a slightly heavier aluminum frame.
Bosch drive for massive E-MTB power
The Patron eRIDE Models are equipped with the Bosch Performance CX motor and draw their energy from the new Bosch PowerTube with 750 Wh. The E-MTBs are therefore powered by the most powerful battery in the Bosch range. In addition, Scott specifies a range of up to 100km or 2000 meters in altitude for its E-MTBs. Incidentally, the battery can be removed from below without tools.
The top model Patron eRIDE 900 Ultimate
Carbon, innovation and noble parts everywhere! That's a good way to describe the Patron Ultimate. DT Swiss HXC1501 carbon wheels and Fox Factory suspension elements leave nothing to be desired. Braking is done with powerful Shimano XTR four-piston brakes. Scott uses the SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS group to drive the E-MTB. This works electronically and thus saves a cable on the e-mountain bike. The E-MTB weighs a mere 23,7 kg, which is a respectable value for a bike with such a powerful battery! At €11.999, so much high-end has its price.

Our advice: Contessa is actually the line specifically for women. However, since these E-MTBs do not differ in geometry from the men's models, everyone can confidently choose any model. In any case, with the Patron eRIDE you get a genuine e-enduro that should cut a fine figure both uphill and downhill.
Scott Axis eRIDE EVO: The E-MTB for all occasions
Even if the Axis eRIDE EVO officially runs as a trekking bike or SUV at Scott, these E-MTBs are definitely suitable for a trip into the countryside! Especially the full-suspension model – which we already presented here have – with 140mm spring travel and a steering angle of around 65 degrees, it has the data of an all-mountain bike. The thought of briefly dismantling the luggage rack and the mudguards does not have to be far off here. Nevertheless, these E-MTBs are aimed more at occasional riders who do not want to achieve top sporting performance and are looking for a great e-bike for all occasions. Be it the way to work, a family trip to the nearest bathing lake or an extended tour to your favorite alp followed by a downhill trail run.

Our advice: The Scott Axis eRIDE EVO FS could be a good choice for anyone thinking about getting an eMTB but haven't actually ridden a bike before. So you get a solid all-round or SUV bike that brings a lot of innovations with it.
