A day later there was another mass sprint - and the closest decision of this Tour de France. Caleb Ewan celebrated his second stage win just ahead of Peter Sagan and Sam Bennett. After the TV pictures proved that Peter Sagan made a little unfair place against Wout van Aert, he was relegated to last place in this group. Thus he lost numerous points in the fight for green. From then on, Sam Bennett would not let him take his jersey off and rode it all the way to Paris.
