Chasing Legends: 95 minutes Tour de France
To hell tour and Overcoming we provide Chasing Legends the third documentary in which a team is closely followed during the Tour de France. This time everything revolves around Team Columbia – HTC in the 2009 season, which emerged from Team Telekom and in the person of Mark Cavendish was able to celebrate a whopping six stage wins. For 31 days, three cameramen with twelve cameras stayed with the stars. As a result, we get to see a 95-minute film that is all about the Tour de France and its heroes. The numerous onboard recordings, which in the bonus material on the DVD give the viewer the feeling of fighting for positions even in the midst of the peloton, are almost a world first at the time.
Interviews allow an insight
The core of Chasing Legends In addition to breathtaking footage from the Tour de France, it is primarily interviews with professionals and employees of the Columbia – HTC team. The Germans Erik Zabel and Rolf Aldag, as well as the Austrian Bernhard Eisel, who, like the Briton Mark Cavendish, were already under contract with the previous team Telekom, will have their say. The latter is particularly exciting to look at, since Mark Cavendish, like Tony Martin, was still at the beginning of his career at the time - and both are still active in the scene today. Incidentally, Jens Voigt also has his say. The German fell during the tour on the descent of the Little Saint Bernhard and had to give up the Tour de France.
Unfortunately, the DVD is hard to come by. You can occasionally find the documentation used on Amazon or eBay.
