Cycling: Many people imagine an elephant when they hear the term jumbo. The supermarket chain from the Netherlands will also sponsor a real heavyweight in cycling in 2019. Despite the departure of main sponsor LottoNL, the Dutch team has been able to strengthen itself.
LottoNL – Jumbo 2018: Developed into a top team
Up until the 2018 season, the Dutch team LottoNL – Jumbo was at best a typical team from the lower midfield of cycling. But in the past few months, the black and yellow squad has developed into a really good team. Sprinters are mainly responsible for this Dylan Groenewegen and classification driver Primoz Roglič. Together they drove in 22 of the 33 victories. If they are in the squad, the team can compete for success with almost every profile. Dylan Groenewegen's victories in the Tour de France remain unforgettable. Primož Roglič won three tours and one stage in the Tour de France. In the overall standings, he just barely missed the podium. Climbers have also made a leap forward Sepp kuss and sprinters Danny van Poppel.

Transfers: Tony Martin & co. make Jumbo even better
When a team loses a sponsor, the belt often needs to be tightened. Not so in Team Jumbo, as the 2019 team will be called. The Dutch supermarket chain is involved in several sports, including speed skating. Those responsible know what they are doing and install clever people in the important positions. This is also reflected in this year's transfer window. With Enrico Battaglin and Lars Boom only two really important drivers leave the team. At the same time, however, several drivers with enormous potential and promises of success are brought in. This also counts Tony Martin. The multiple time trial world champion is perfectly suited for individual time trials, team time trials and as a helper for sprints or classics. Dylan Groenewegen in particular should have been happy about this commitment. Lennard Hofstede is considered a good sprinter and can either be trained as a starter, or drive in front in races in the absence of Groenewegen. Laurens DePlus is a strong climber and can also hold his own in hilly classics. Mike Teunissen is very fast, but also withstands hard waves quite well. In addition to the two talents Taco van der Hoorn and jonas vingegaard a royal transfer could follow in the person of Wout Van Aert. The Crosser is allowed to change teams and is connected to Jumbo.

Jumbo 2019: Have a say on every terrain
The team rose quickly. Now it's time to stay up! This should succeed with the greatly improved squad. The most important professionals could be retained and the numerous top newcomers improve the team enormously - and that in almost every nook and cranny. Especially in one-day races with light waves or a completely flat profile, the black and yellow will now be among the strongest teams on the WorldTour. And great success can also come in the high mountains with large country tours. With Steven Kruijswijk and Primoz Roglic there are two professionals in the squad who seem to be capable of even greater things. Most victories are likely to be achieved again in 2019 Dylan Groenewegen. While most of the sprinter competitors have changed their teams or are basically in a form crisis, the young Dutchman can look forward to an even better sprint preparation.
Our training camp is in full swing🇪🇸😎
