Cycling: Brenton Jones (Delko-Marseille Provence KTM) has after the second stage also won the fifth leg of the Tropicale Amissa Bongo. Nikodemus Holler (Bike Aid) presented himself strong again. The German finished fifth in the stage and is still second in the overall standings.
Holler remains within striking distance - two more stages
At the second stage victory of Brenton Jones (Delko-Marseille Provence KTM) the competition had almost no chance. From Oyem to Ambam the peloton had to cover a total of 141 kilometers today. As expected, the stage ended in a mass sprint. Brenton Jones took full advantage of the slightly uphill home straight to turn his strengths into another win. He let it go Youcef Reguigui (Sovac-Natura4Ever) and Rinaldo Nocentini (Sporting Clube de Portugal) – Winner of the third stage - behind. With fifth place he presented himself strongly again Nicodemus Holler (Bike Aid). Since also the current overall leader Joseph Areruya (Rwanda) finished with the peloton, the German is still eleven seconds behind him in second place. Damian Gaudin (Direct Energie) remains third, 34 seconds back.
