Inside Blog: Halftime at Cape Epic 2017. Both of ProjectZebra's men's teams have now found their form and their legs and can compete with the world's best. With the temperatures no longer quite as hot, all four drivers were doing very well until Urs Huber suffered a flat tire. Thanks to support from the support team, things progressed quickly, but the leading group was gone. A good seventh place is still a success given the problems.
On the longest stage of this year's Cape Epic, Karl Platt and Urs Huber proved during the first half that they have now found their legs and that they are among the best in the world over such distances. Simon Stiebjahn and Tim Böhme are also on course after a tough start, were in the leading group and were even the first two riders on the top of the first climb. As the race progressed, Urs Huber unfortunately got a flat tire - although Simon and Tim were there immediately and - as a support team - supplied the unlucky guy with a rear wheel, but time was lost for both teams as a result. In the end, Urs and Karl finished seventh in the top 10.
Of course, Stefan Sahm is still in the field on his BULLS E-MTB, providing the live stream with images and recording spectacular 360° recordings. If you don't know it yet: It's best to watch it on your smartphone in the YouTube app - then you can look around in the middle of the action.
