His team boss Patrick Lefevere posted a photo on Instagram accusing an Astana pro of hitting Kittel in the face with his elbow and demanding consequences.
Confusing conditions on today's leg of the Dubai Tour. Marcel Kittel and Co. are not only struggling with isolated sandstorms, but the overall leader suddenly had a bleeding laceration in his face. Kittel continues to drive, but his team boss from Quick-Step Floors now claims on Instagram that a driver from Astana beat the German. Video recordings show Kittel on the team vehicle, where he hints at an elbow strike. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be any pictures of the actual incident - but we're staying tuned.
