Spectrum / cycle tours: cycle tour operator Prostyle is expanding its program for women in 2017. In addition to the already established women's workshops, there will also be special events for women for the first time. In April, for example, there is the Women's Tour of Flanders - including cobblestone training, participation in the Ronde van Vlaanderen Cyclo and of course a visit to the Tour of Flanders itself.
The Women's Tour of Flanders - i.e. the Tour of Flanders for women - has been taking place for more than ten years and has enjoyed growing popularity, especially in the past year or two. One reason for this is undoubtedly the growing enthusiasm among women for cycling and road cycling in general. The cycling tour operator Prostyle recognized this development early on and has already offered women's workshops in the past. In different levels, not only the riding technique is honed, but also the basics of care and maintenance of your own racing bike are taught.
Spectrum: Prostyle Women Workshop in Epen: From riding technique to a workshop for mechanics
Spectrum: More and more women are enthusiastic about cycling and regularly ride their racing bikes. The cycle tour and service provider Prostyle would like to support this development and, together with sponsor LIV, has launched the women's workshops. After the great success of 2016, the women's workshops will of course also have their place in the Prostyle program again in 2017. What is new, however, are special women's events, such as a three-day trip around the aforementioned Women's Tour of Flanders at the beginning of April. For many athletes and fans, the Tour of Flanders is the most beautiful and varied classic: Difficult cobblestone passages, frenetic fans, iconic Hellingen, Paterberg, Oude Kwaremont... or in short: cycling at its finest.
After arrival, together with prostyle expert Janni Scheuch, you will go on a short warm-up lap, during which you will be given initial tips for coping with the treacherous cobblestones. This will also be absolutely necessary, because on the second day you will be on the original route of the Tour of Flanders! The Ronde van Vlaanderen Cyclo event for everyone offers drivers the chance to get a real racing feeling. A short warm-up lap on the morning of the third day is followed by a transfer directly to the track, from where the participants can follow the women's and men's race live.
Registration is open and the price of €499 includes two nights in a double room and the supporting program (excl. registration fee Ronde van Vlaanderen Cyclo)
