E-Performance / MTB News: The market for mountain bikes with electric drives is booming, sales are exploding - so it's only logical that eMTBs also get their own racing events. The German eMTB Masters – epowered by Bosch Everyman Series started last year and a total of four events for eMTB riders will also take place in 2016. It starts next weekend.
Anyone who has ever sat on an eMTB knows that you can work up a sweat on such a bike despite the motor support - technical skills and riding skills are also required here. It is therefore not surprising and definitely welcome that Bosch, together with partners from the ARGE German Bike Masters, has launched the German eMTB Masters event series. In 2016, electric mountain bikers can compete against each other at four events for everyone. The starting signal will be given next Sunday (April 17) in Münsingen on the Swabian Alb.
There will be individual and team races at each of the four dates and an overall ranking makes the racing series even more interesting. Anyone who registers can take part - but there are a few rules for the moving vehicle, for example, for the sake of sporting fairness, only pedelecs with a support of up to 25km/h are permitted. Changing the battery is also prohibited: the available power must therefore be used carefully.
Dates of the eMTB Masters:
17.04.2016/XNUMX/XNUMX – Münsingen – ALB-GOLD spring marathon
May 22.05.2016, XNUMX – Bad Wildbad – Ketterer Bike Marathon
14.08.2016/XNUMX/XNUMX – Neustadt adW – Sigma Sport Bike Marathon
October 02.10.2016nd, XNUMX – Trochtelfingen – ALB-GOLD Trophy
All four events are accompanied by a so-called eExpo: an exhibition by e-bike manufacturers and bicycle dealers, where those interested can find out more about e-bikes and put one of the many available test bikes through their paces on guided tours or on the test site can test.
