Triathlon: At the start of the new year, the Austrian long-distance specialist Eva Wutti is changing her bike outfitter - previously the multiple Ironman winner was on Ridley bikes - from 2016 the 26-year-old will be relying on bikes and equipment from the US manufacturer Specialized.
Eva Wutti has had a season that is like an emotional roller coaster ride - after great successes such as victories at Ironman Austria and Ironman 70.3 Norway, the Carinthian went into the second half of the season highly motivated and full of confidence. But an injury prevented the start at the Ironman 70.3 Zell am See-Kaprun and made preparation for the premiere in Kona more difficult. At least she made it to a respectable 16th place in Hawaii – she has big plans for 2016.
In line with this, she is now also receiving new top material from Specialized and with the cooperation a small dream has come true for her: “Specialized has great women's specific products. Working with them has always been my dream. It's great that we're starting together now," the 26-year-old is happy. The bike of choice will of course be an S-Works Shiv, the Specialized Evade will be used as the helmet and the Specialized Trivent SC WMN shoes will provide the necessary grip on the pedals.
Specialized is also looking forward to working with them and has high hopes for the Austrian: "Eva has developed a lot at her young age in recent years. We definitely believe in a Hawaii victory in the next few years and look forward to supporting them." says Jan Bruns from Marketing at Specialized.
