Test: Lots of spring travel, a huge range of gear ratios and the new Bosch display make the Numinis E 2000.27 DX from Centurion an attractive e-touring fully.
It looks pretty long-legged, the current E-Fully from Magstadt. And in view of the immense suspension travel and the intended playground of this e-bike - difficult trails and hard descents - a large clearance in the bottom bracket also makes sense. The Rock Shox Reba RL offers 120 mm of travel, as does the multi-joint rear triangle. I have no idea what kind of obstacle is supposed to stop this bike, which also glides over the trails with wide 650B slippers. Secure grip at high speed and plenty of traction on steep sections are the advantages of the concept, and "steep" means the really extreme things. Because with the Bosch drive in the performance version, paired with an eleven-speed gear shift from SRAM, every climb that doesn't provoke a backward roll should be ridable - and to prevent that from happening, the fork can be lowered by up to four centimeters.
US component manufacturer SRAM gives the Centurion its innovative 10-42 sprocket, whose huge lifebelt should allow high pedaling frequencies even at walking speed. This makes the Numinis one of those E-MTBs that offer a particularly large gear range.
Clean weld seams and partially integrated cables upgrade the aluminum frame, which is subtly painted in typical Centurion style. Thanks to the short stem and seat post, the sitting position is compact and upright without offset, which ensures relaxation on long tours and suits less experienced bikers. There is no question: the feel-good geometry is spontaneously the biggest advantage of the Numinis E.
It is interesting that Centurion offers the Numinis E 2000.27 in two variants. Presented here is the model with the proven Intuvia display from Bosch. It is also optionally available with the new Nyon display, which offers, among other things, individually configurable support levels and a navigation system; A surcharge of 250 euros is due for this variant. Incidentally, the Numinis E 2000.27 has already secured a test win from the “World of MTB” specialist magazine – and that means a lot.
And finally ...
The Numinis E is an interesting alternative for anyone who is looking for a fully-fledged fully, but finds it a little harder uphill, wants to be up there faster, or wants to balance out the very different performance levels of a car pool (couples). All this at a very fair price.
