Cycling: The Tour of Qatar will once again take place from February 8th to 13th (Overview of the stages). German cycling will also be represented in large numbers at the tour on the Arabian Peninsula. A total of 12 German professionals were nominated, and with Giant-Alpecin and Bora-Argon 18 two teams from Germany are also at the start.
Marcel Kittel, sprint ace from the ranks of Team Giant-Alpecin, will certainly be eyeing one or two stage wins and the sprint classification - although the competition will be prominent at the Tour of Qatar. In addition to Kittel, Giant-Alpecin is also sending 23-year-old Nikias Arndt into the race. With Ralf Matzka, Michael Schwarzmann and Paul Voss, three German professionals are starting for Bora-Argon 18.
