Cycling: Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjaa is undoubtedly one, if not the ultimate mountain biker. The multiple world champion has now extended her contract with the Multivan-Merida Bikung Team for another two years and is focusing on the 2016 games in Rio.
Mountain biking without Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjaa? That would be like the Blues Brothers without the Blues and Rio without Copacabana. But that's exactly where Dahle Flesjaa wants to go. The 41-year-old Norwegian has extended her contract with Multivan-Merida for another two years and has the Rio 2016 Games as her big goal. “Of course I'm pleased that I will continue to race under the Multivan-Merida flag. I'm super motivated to use the winter and lay a good foundation for the upcoming season.", says Dahle Flesjaa, who has been at the start for the team since 2002. “The nomination for the Olympic Games is the top priority in the coming year. It would be my fifth games and I certainly don't want to be there as a spectator.", she continues in a statement.
