Market: The mail order company Rose from Bocholt in North Rhine-Westphalia opened its second bicycle shop just over two weeks ago. In addition to the Biketown at the company headquarters in Bocholt, a concept store has now also opened its doors in Munich. We took a look around the futuristic-looking store at the official opening.
The concept store has been open to the public in the new MONA shopping center in the north of Munich since October 9th. The look of the facility amazes and opens the mouths of many passers-by and visitors. The shop looks futuristic, bright and very tidy. However, the look is only an accessory - it depends on the concept of the store.
Rose not only focuses on individualization in its online shop, but also in the concept store: A sample configuration of each model is set up in the store, stands on an illuminated base and can be viewed comfortably from all sides. In front of each of these bases there is a tablet on which the bike can be adapted to the individual requirements and wishes of the customer together with an employee. Other fork? Longer stem? Other vector group? No problem. The preview image of the bike is adjusted in real time on the tablets. If you decide on a bike, you can place it directly in the shopping cart and order it. It is then set up at the headquarters in Bocholt and delivered either to the store or to the customer's home.
The counter of the store is also a real eye-catcher. Large touchscreens are also embedded in this, on which the desired configuration can be viewed in detail again. Complex animations of various Rose models run on the LED wall behind the counter. This impressive piece of technology hides the store's workshop, which offers two spacious workplaces.
Even if you don't have a complete bike on your wish list at the moment, it's worth visiting the store: a large selection of accessories and clothing invites you to browse.
