This season, Cannondale is expanding its successful E series with two e-mountain bikes that were developed in very close cooperation with Bosch. An extremely light, agile and smooth-running aluminum 29-inch hardtail frame was specially designed for the latest generation of the brand-leading Bosch motor system. This e-MTB frame is one of the lightest and most advanced on the market and ensures precise handling and a unique e-assisted mountain bike experience on any terrain.
The Cannondale Tramount is offered in two versions. The Tramount 1 is characterized above all by the exceptionally stiff, light and sensitive Lefty PBR 29'er suspension fork with 100mm travel. The ingenious construction with only one shock absorber enables easy and ultra-precise steering. In addition, there is a high-quality Cannondale Save-Seat post and a complete Shimano XT gear system. The Tramount 2 is with a Rockshox Recon-Fork and Shimano Deore-Gear and hubs equipped. Both models have completely internally routed shift and brake cables from the down tube to the motor to the chainstay. The control panel on the handlebars of the Tramount Allows the rider to control engine settings without taking their hands off the grips. The frame also has mounting points for mounting luggage racks, mudguards and bike stands. This makes it easy to use as a trekking and everyday bike in just a few simple steps.
"With the increasing popularity of e-bikes, we are pleased to now also be able to offer models that were clearly developed for mountain biking and thus to be able to further expand our E-series", explains Bob Burbank, Cannondale's global managing director. “The goal when developing the Tramount was to create a high-performance, extremely light frame for sporty mountain biking. Like our entire E-Series, the Tramount is designed for the performance-oriented rider who always wants to be a bike length ahead when riding a bike.”
Equipped with the Bosch G2 performancemotor and a 400 Wh battery, the Tramount E-MTB should feel comfortable on any terrain. It should be lively to drive and always good-natured and controllable. A highly developed torque sensor and the high torque of the market-leading Bosch motors ensure a balanced but powerful supply of energy. As with the entire Cannondale E-Series, the seamless integration of the drive system into a lightweight, precisely controlled frame results in ample power resources.
The Tramount is now available from specialist retailers and costs 2,999 or 3,799 euros, depending on the model.
