The fourth stage of this year's Vuelta also ended with an uphill sprint. It again offered an exciting spectacle in which the Spaniard Daniel Moreno (Katusha), who had to make do with second place behind Nicolas Roche on the second stage, had the best end for himself. In Fisterra, the so-called "end of the world", he prevailed as a soloist with a courageous attack in the last kilometer. Behind the Spaniard was a group of all the favorites led by Fabian Cancellara (RadioShack Leopard). However, overall leader Chris Horner (RadioShack Leopard) was absent from this group. He lost the red jersey to Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) but remains second overall.
