More tire clearance and comfort: New Scott Addict Gravel

Scott introduces the latest generation of the Addict Gravel. This completely redesigned gravel bike was developed specifically for long distances and varying terrain. According to the manufacturer, the focus of development was on lasting riding comfort, stable handling, and versatile gear carrying options. A key feature of the new frame is the significantly increased tire clearance. The Scott Addict Gravel now accommodates tires up to 57 mm wide and is even said to be compatible with 2,2" mountain bike tires. To achieve this increased tire clearance without compromising integration, the chainstay has been narrowed to 8,5 mm at its narrowest point.

New Scott Addict Gravel: Targeted flexibility for more comfort on long tours

Scott also focused on targeted flexibility in the frame design of the new Addict Gravel. Curved fork legs, a smaller head tube, and a new integrated combo design are intended to provide a 30% increase in front-end compliance. At the rear, the engineers also reduced the seat tube cross-section. The lower-mounted seat stays are designed to flex outwards. According to Scott, the rear triangle's compliance has been improved by 60% with a rigid seatpost. Even when using a comfort seatpost, a further 25% improvement is said to be achieved.

The geometry has also been adjusted. The stack is 10 mm higher, and the reach is 10 mm longer, which is compensated for by a 10 mm shorter cockpit. A lowered bottom bracket and increased fork offset are designed to provide a longer front wheelbase, while the chainstay length remains unchanged. Practical features round out the concept. The integrated "Syncros Save the Day Kit" with a tube, tire levers, and mini pump is located in the downtube. Hex keys and a tubeless tool are also stored in the handlebar ends. The new Scott Addict Gravel is available in two carbon versions and seven frame sizes.
