Hautoo One and Pro: When the bicycle becomes a transporter

September 9, 2026 by Florian Nowak

Giveaway/Product News: Whether it's cycling to the shops, taking sports equipment to the lake, or transporting bulky luggage, those who want to use their bicycle for a variety of everyday tasks don't necessarily have to switch to a cargo bike. With the Hautoo One and Hautoo Pro cargo trailers, Hautoo offers two solutions that create additional transport capacity and can be easily attached to your existing bicycle when needed. We're giving away one of the two Hautoo cargo trailers.

The basic concept is similar for both models: an open aluminum loading platform, surrounding side rails, and adjustable front and rear supports are designed to offer maximum loading flexibility. Differences lie primarily in payload capacity, wheels, and braking system.

Hautoo One: The all-rounder for everyday life and leisure

The Hautoo One is primarily aimed at users who want to easily transport shopping, luggage, or sports equipment by bicycle. With a weight of 10 kilograms and a maximum payload of 50 kilograms, the trailer offers ample capacity for this purpose.

The loading area measures 50,5 x 82,7 centimeters. Thanks to the multi-position foldable handles at the front and back, even longer items can be transported – from surfboards and skis to ladders. Hautoo states, for example, that it has enough space for up to three crates of drinks.

Additional flexibility is offered by transport bags, boxes, and weather protection from the accessory range. The drawbar can be adjusted to six positions, thus adapting to different bicycles or wheel sizes.

The One rolls on 16-inch wheels and is available with either standard tires or Schwalbe Big Apple tires. Removing the wheels also allows for relatively compact storage.

Hautoo Pro: For heavier weight and more demanding routes

For those who regularly transport heavier loads, the Hautoo Pro offers a more robust option. The permissible total weight increases to 80 kilograms, and the maximum payload is 67,5 kilograms. The trailer itself weighs 12,5 kilograms.

The most significant technical difference compared to the One model is the integrated overrun brake with disc brakes . When decelerating, this brakes not only the towing bicycle but also the trailer itself. This can provide additional control, especially with heavy loads or on downhill slopes. Hautoo claims a potential reduction in braking distance of up to 25 percent.

The Pro model also features a more robust chassis. It uses 20-inch wheels with reinforced stainless steel spokes and Schwalbe Big Apple tires with puncture protection. A heavy-duty drawbar and a Weber hitch are also included.

The Pro's cargo area remains true to the flexible basic principle of the One. Here too, the bars at the front and rear can be adjusted, so that in addition to classic shopping items, bulkier sports and leisure equipment can also be accommodated.

Attachment instead of a cargo bike

Hautoo One and Pro thus pursue an interesting approach for those who want to continue using their regular bicycle but expand its range of uses. The trailer stays at home when not needed – and transforms the bike into a small transporter in a short time when required.

The Hautoo One scores particularly well with its lighter weight and high suitability for everyday use. The Hautoo Pro , with its larger payload capacity, 20-inch wheels, and dedicated braking system, is geared more towards users who frequently transport heavy loads or travel in hilly terrain.

Which model is the better fit depends less on the bicycle itself than on its intended use: For shopping, leisure, and occasional transport, the One already offers plenty of capacity. Those who regularly need to move heavier loads will find the Pro offers additional reserves.
