MTB Gravity 8.0 Pants: For high speeds on downhill runs
Leatt positions the Pant MTB Gravity 8.0 at the performance end of its gravity apparel range. Developed in collaboration with the riders of the Pivot Factory Racing Team, the pants are accordingly geared towards racing. A pre-shaped cut is designed to support the rider's position on the bike, while four-way stretch fabric ensures the necessary freedom of movement. Ample room for knee pads is also provided.
The different construction of the individual sections is particularly interesting. On the lower legs, Leatt combines its CoWeave and Deflexion technologies. These are three-dimensionally knitted sections that integrate ventilation and reinforcement zones without traditional seams. In contrast, HydraDri MAX is used in the thigh and buttock areas. This material boasts a 30.000 mm water column rating and a breathability rating of 30.000 g/m². Additionally, the seams are fully taped.
Laser perforations enhance ventilation. A motocross-inspired Hypalon waistband with a finely adjustable buckle ensures a secure fit. Multiple pockets with YKK zippers provide storage for smaller items. The water- and dirt-repellent DWR-C0 finish is PFAS- and PFC-free, and Leatt also uses bluesign®-certified materials. The Gravity 8.0 is available in several colors, including the striking Heatmap Red.
Ride Kit MTB Gravity 1.0: Jersey and pants as a coordinated set
The Ride Kit MTB Gravity 1.0 offers a significantly more accessible entry into the Gravity collection . The set consists of a jersey and shorts and, according to Leatt, is also based on insights gained from the collaboration with the Pivot Factory Racing Team. However, the focus is less on maximum racing performance and more on a versatile balance of fit, function, and price.
The jersey combines a looser fit in the torso with closer-fitting sleeves. Leatt uses a lightweight and durable polymer-elastane knit for the main fabric, while the sleeves are designed for extra stretch. An integrated goggle wiper at the hem is a small but practical detail for trail running.
The pants feature a modern, tapered cut, but offer extra room in the upper leg for protectors and freedom of movement. The material on the thighs is lighter and more elastic, while Leatt uses a more robust fabric in the lower leg area. Perforated zones on the inner knees and back are designed to improve airflow. Silicone grippers and a Moto buckle allow for adjustment at the waistband. A zippered pocket on the right thigh and a back pocket complete the features. A PFAS-free DWR finish is also used. The kit is available in Dusty Red , among other colors.
Bib MTB 6.0 Endurance: Performance for long days in the saddle
With the Bib MTB 6.0 Endurance, Leatt bridges the gap between mountain biking and classic endurance apparel. These close-fitting bib shorts are designed for riders who complete long and intense training sessions and place particular emphasis on comfort, moisture management, and freedom of movement.
The design is based on an anatomical 3D fit and a very lightweight, four-way stretch material. The cut is tailored for a sporty, aggressive riding position. Flat seams are intended to reduce chafing, while grippers at the leg openings keep the shorts in place. Leatt particularly emphasizes the quick-drying and bacteriostatic properties of the carbon-blend fabric used.
The Elastic Interface chamois plays a key role . Manufactured in Europe, it features four different padding densities and the Hybrid Cell System. A central pressure relief channel is designed to reduce pressure and promote blood circulation. The upper body area is made of breathable mesh to improve ventilation, especially during high-intensity activities. According to the manufacturer, the material also offers UPF 50+ UV protection. The bib shorts are available in Brass Brown, among other colors.
Bib Long MTB ThermaFlow 4.0: For cool training days
When temperatures drop, the Bib Long MTB ThermaFlow 4.0 comes into play. These long bib tights combine heat management with the demands of longer off-road and gravel rides.
The base fabric is Leatt's elastic WarmYarn knit . The inside is brushed to provide extra insulation without unnecessarily restricting breathability and freedom of movement. The material also has antistatic and bacteriostatic properties and is designed to dry quickly. Anatomically shaped legs, four-way stretch, and silicone grippers at the cuffs complete the close-fitting design.
Here too, an Elastic Interface seat pad is used. Unlike the Endurance 6.0, this one, according to Leatt, was specifically developed for gravel riding and a moderately sporty riding position. The pad utilizes two different foam densities and features a ventilated front section.
Practical for long tours are the four mesh cargo pockets: two each are located in the lower back and on the legs. The upper body is made of mesh, and the soft straps are also ventilated. A PFAS-free DWR-C0 treatment, UPF 50+ protection, and reflective details complete the features. The ThermaFlow 4.0 is available in classic black , among other colors.
Pant MTB HydraDri 3.0 Women: Weather protection with a women-specific cut
With the Pant MTB HydraDri 3.0 Women, Leatt is specifically targeting female mountain bikers who ride in the rain and on wet trails. The pants have a women's-specific regular fit and are made from a lightweight HydraDri Evo 2.5-layer fabric.
Leatt specifies both a waterproof rating of 20.000 millimeters and a breathability rating of 20.000 g/m². This is intended to keep out rain while simultaneously promoting heat and moisture wicking. Two-way stretch fabric ensures freedom of movement on the bike. Additional deflexion reinforcements at the knees and seat provide increased abrasion resistance in high-wear areas.
The waistband is adjustable with a hook-and-loop fastener, and the leg openings are also adjustable with YKK zippers. Pre-shaped legs and specially designed leg openings provide better shoe coverage. Low-positioned thigh pockets are designed to minimize restrictions on movement, and there's also a rear pocket with silicone grippers. Reflective prints and zipper pulls enhance visibility. As with other Leatt models, this garment uses bluesign®-certified materials and a PFAS-free DWR-C0 finish. The HydraDri 3.0 Women's jacket is available in Black and Brass Brown.
Different concepts for different applications
The five models clearly demonstrate that Leatt now strongly differentiates its MTB apparel according to intended use. While the Gravity 8.0, with its sophisticated material construction and uncompromising race-oriented design, is aimed at downhill and bike park riding, the Gravity 1.0 Ride Kit offers a more versatile entry into the segment. The two bib shorts, on the other hand, target riders who spend many hours in the saddle on their mountain bikes or gravel bikes – the Endurance 6.0 for performance-oriented riding in milder conditions and the long ThermaFlow 4.0 for cooler days. Finally, the HydraDri 3.0 Women completes the range with women's cycling shorts designed with a focus on weather protection.
What all these models have in common are functional cuts, the targeted use of elastic materials, and an increasing focus on PFAS-free DWR coatings and bluesign®-certified fabrics. Which model is best suited depends primarily on the intended use – from a race day in the bike park to a long tour in changeable weather.
