The new wheels are lighter and more dynamic, which is intended to add extra liveliness to the ride.
One of the key features of the new DT Swiss 1500 wheels is the PURE Carbon rim technology. According to DT Swiss, an innovative rim manufacturing process and a complete layer-by-layer inspection result in lightweight rims built for lasting performance. Continuous carbon layers reinforce the rim flanges for maximum impact resistance. The PURE Carbon rim technology reduces rotating mass and increases the lightness of the wheels for faster acceleration and improved airtime.
Asymmetric rims, a 30 mm internal width, and front- and rear-wheel-specific carbon layering designs are essential for every wheel in the 1500 series. DT Swiss also goes all out with the spokes. Featuring a sophisticated shape resulting from a unique blading process that simultaneously densifies the material, this is said to be DT Swiss's most durable spoke in its weight category. With the exception of the HXC 1500 SPLINE, which uses eMTB-specific spokes, every wheel in the 1500 series is equipped with the proven DT complite spokes.
For the first time, DT Swiss's state-of-the-art DF technology is fully integrated into the wheelset (with the exception of the XRC wheels). It's the straightforward solution to any pedal kickback issue. And the best part? It's adjustable without tools, requires minimal maintenance, and adds no extra weight.
