Product news: The new SDG Open Core Thrice Grip combines the comfort of a slip-on grip with the security of a lock-on grip. By removing part of the inner core, the outer layer of soft 20A durometer rubber can flexibly adapt to the hand. This is intended to reduce vibrations and fatigue, thus improving the riding experience.
The new SDG Open Core Thrice grips combine the comfort of slip-on grips with the security of lock-on grips and are packed with hidden features. From the vibration-damping Open Core Zone and the oval profile to the finger-shaped recesses and the thin, thumb-damping ribs – every contour of the grip is designed for maximum comfort and optimal control.

A single lockring maximizes the usable grip area, while a tapered inner core prevents twisting and flared ends enhance leverage on technical terrain. Even the low-profile 1/4-inch flange is designed to provide protection without being obtrusive. This grip was engineered from the inside out to feel better, provide enhanced riding feel, and offer a secure hold in critical moments.
“When I first rode the Open Core Thrice, I immediately felt a difference,” says Yoann Barelli, athlete with Devinci Movement and SDG. “It’s soft where it matters, but still gives a secure, solid feeling when you push. The bike just feels more alive.”
After years of development, SDG's Open Core Thrice handles are now available.
