The design is more than just a color scheme: Texlock translates Bauhaus design principles into an object that is constantly in hand, hanging from the frame, or wrapped around the bike in everyday urban life. The striking geometric woven structure in the iconic Bauhaus colors of blue, red, and yellow, framed in black, is particularly eye-catching – a base color intended to give the lock its typical texlock premium character and deliberately frame the colorful accents. A newly developed black label at the end of the cable marks both anniversaries: 10 years of texlock and 100 years of Bauhaus Dessau.
Texlock's strong focus on the feel of its locks is nothing new – but according to the manufacturer, this is taken to the extreme with the anniversary edition: The textile surface is designed to combine an exceptionally precise look with a supple feel and achieve a new level of design.
Managing Director Alexandra Baum sums up the direction in a statement: Bauhaus shows how powerful design can be when form and function become one – this is exactly the approach that has driven texlock for ten years; the edition is intended to make the design aspiration tangible in everyday urban life.
texlock technology basis: HybridSecure as a textile security architecture
Despite all the design changes, it remains a lock – and texlock technically anchors the edition in its own core competence: All three model variants are based on HybridSecure, a patented, multi-layered textile fiber-steel core technology that gives high-tech textiles a security mandate for the first time.
The edition comes in three models: texlock eyelet, orbit, and mate. Of particular interest for practical use are the specified security levels and certifications:

Texlock is explicitly positioning the anniversary edition as a special edition: available only in 2026, high-quality, limited, and highly collectible. Sales will begin in February 2026 in the texlock online shop and at the designshop bauhaus dessau in Dessau. The authorized dealer network has been distributing the edition since the beginning of the year.
Regional framework: Central Germany as a design and industrial region
Texlock emphasizes its roots in Leipzig – a region where craftsmanship, design, and technical innovation have traditionally been closely intertwined. For its anniversary year, the company deliberately chose a partner in its immediate vicinity: the Bauhaus Dessau, now represented by the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation as a cultural flagship of Central Germany. The edition thus sees itself as bridging the gap between contemporary product design and design history in Central Germany.
Texlock also links its special editions to social commitment: In 2026, a portion of the proceeds will go to an educational project in Leipzig. At a Leipzig daycare center, a carpenter commissioned by Texlock and trained in pedagogy will work with children to create toys or furniture – inspired by the forms and colors of the Bauhaus.
