Futuristic high-end bags: Bikepacking bags from Cyclite

29 November 2025 by Michael Wahl

CYCLITE was founded in 2020 in Grassau, Upper Bavaria, and arose from the desire of experienced bikepackers to develop ultralight, functional, and aerodynamic bags. The brand focuses on minimalist, robust solutions that offer high stability and weather resistance despite their low weight. This is achieved through the use of recycled nylon, resource-efficient production, and membership in... 1% for the Planet CYCLITE also demonstrates a clear commitment to sustainability. The product range includes top tube, frame, saddle and handlebar bags, as well as other bikepacking accessories, all with a focus on efficiency, lightness and smart design for modern adventurers.

HANDLE BAR AERO BAG / 01

Made from ultralight, double-sided coated LiteGrid fabric, the HANDLE BAR AERO BAG / 01 boasts a robust, waterproof, and easy-care construction; even the white version is easy to clean thanks to the coating. The bag offers multiple mounting options and is particularly well-suited for handlebars with aero bars. However, in our tests, it also proved stable on classic handlebars and additionally on the fork using the included straps, without affecting steering. Only cables may need to be rerouted with the provided fixings to prevent the bag from tilting. On the top, Velcro straps and a bungee cord offer additional carrying options for items like lights or small luggage. Overall, the bag impressed with its light weight, high-quality workmanship, and versatile mounting options.

Technical data:

  • Dimensions: 23 16 x x 18 cm
  • Weight: 208g or 139g  (with extended stiffening)
  • Packing volume: 4,8 l

TOP TUBE BAG / 02

The Cyclite TOP TUBE BAG / 02, like the previously mentioned handlebar bag, boasts the same robust features: It's made from the same lightweight fabric with a TPU/PU coating, offering abrasion and tear resistance as well as weather resistance. The bag is high-frequency welded, largely eliminating seams and ensuring a waterproof construction. Mounting options are flexible: with Velcro straps on the top tube or, on compatible frames, directly with screws. The flap is securely held in place by a magnetic Fidlock closure, facilitating access while riding, while inside, a small additional zippered pocket protects keys or other small valuables. During testing, it was noted that the flap is relatively long and, on a medium-sized frame, bumps against the saddle when opened, slightly limiting usability. Overall, however, the bag offers a well-designed, high-quality solution for bikepacking, touring, or everyday use that is lightweight, weatherproof, and practical.

Technical data:

  • Dimensions: 25 10 x x 15 cm
  • Weight: 116g
  • Packing volume: 1,1 l

FRAME BAG / 01

The FRAME BAG / 01 frame bag impresses with the same high-quality materials and features as Cyclite's top tube bag. It offers a large main compartment with small internal pockets and a practical key holder, as well as a flat compartment on the opposite side for flat items such as maps or energy bars. Like all Cyclite bags, the FRAME BAG / 01's stiffening element can be removed, saving additional weight; this stiffening element consists of a plastic frame attached to the bag with Velcro. The entire Cyclite product range uses relatively delicate Velcro straps that, despite their subtle appearance, provide a reliable hold, as is the case with the FRAME BAG / 01. While the position of the straps cannot be adjusted, the bag remained firmly and securely attached to the frame during the test ride. A frame protector film is also included to prevent scratches.

Technical data:

  • Dimensions: 38 13 x x 6 cm
  • Weight: 148g / 98 (without reinforcement)
  • Packing volume: 2,8 l

Cyclite SADDLE BAG / 01

The Cyclite SADDLE BAG / 01 shares the same robust and weatherproof features as the previously mentioned bags. It can be mounted to the saddle rails using aluminum hooks, Velcro straps on the seatpost, and a carbon-reinforced pulley system. While the initial installation proved a bit fiddly, it should become significantly easier with practice. With a volume of 12,9 liters, it offers ample storage space, which can be optimally compressed using straps and an air valve. Thanks to the pulley system, the bag remains stable and wobble-free even on longer rides. Practical details such as the elastic strap loop at the top, space for a rear light or lamp mount, and reflective elements enhance its everyday usability. Cyclite also provides excellent packing and mounting tips on their website, which is particularly helpful for beginners.

Technical data:

  • Dimensions: 52 23 x x 18 cm
  • Weight: 318g
  • Packing volume: 12,9 l

Cyclite's futuristic bikepacking bags impress with their lightness, robustness, and high-quality workmanship. Weather resistance, clever features, and stable mounting systems make them reliable companions on all tours. There were only minor criticisms regarding the mounting process, but these hardly detract from the overall impression. Overall, the bags offer perfect performance, intuitive handling, and a futuristic aesthetic. Considering Cyclite's commitment to sustainability, we believe the high price is justified.
