Paul Double wins ahead of Victor Lafay

With his victory on the fifth stage of the Tour of Guangxi, Paul Double (Jayco AlUla) achieved a double victory. The Brit can not only celebrate the stage win, but also the lead in the overall standings. He thus takes over from his namesake Paul Magnier (Soudal – Quick-Step) took the red jersey after winning the first four stages in the bunch sprint.

Tomorrow the Tour of Guangxi ends

After 165,8 kilometers from Yizhou to Nongla, Double let the Frenchman victor lafay (Decathlon Ag2r La Mondiale) and the Danes Mikkel Frölich Honoré (EF Education – EasyPost) by nine and eleven seconds, respectively. This puts him on the brink of overall victory, but he still has to survive tomorrow's final stage.
