Swatch Nines x Sölden 2025: Why this MTB event is electrifying the scene
In autumn, Sölden once again became a magnet for mountain bike fans: At the Bike Republic Sölden Festival × Swatch Nines showed 50 of the world's best slopestyle and freeride riders, what is possible,
when creativity, courage and flow meet. But what is behind the concept of Nines – and why has the event enjoyed such high esteem since its founding in 2008?
Overview & Framework
12-14 September 2025A multi-day program of mountain biking, music, and community turned Sölden into a MTB stage. The focus was Swatch Nines – a show format where the competition is not the primary focus, but rather staging, progression and
creative performance.
Concept: Limitless instead of rule-bound
Instead of a classic contest format with strict scoring systems, the focus is on the experience: sessions instead of rankings allow room for innovation. Athletes develop new tricks, try daring moves, and inspire each other.

The result: sport at the highest level – with festival vibes that captivate the audience.
During the Sölden week alone, 26 new tricksthat have never been seen before.
Sölden Highlights: Stage for Progression
