S-Works Power Evo Mirror: Comfort meets performance

July 7, 2025 by Florian Nowak

Product news: With the new S-Works Power Evo Mirror, Specialized is launching a redesigned version of its premium saddle. Targeted at performance-oriented road, gravel, and XC riders who value not only maximum performance but also supreme comfort—regardless of their riding position on the bike.

S-Works Power Evo Mirror – Further development with system

Since 1997, Specialized has pursued a clear goal with its "Body Geometry" philosophy: a seamless connection between man and machine, scientifically sound and ergonomically well-thought-out. The Power Evo is the embodiment of this development strategy. Building on the previous Power Mirror saddle, the new Evo version was designed specifically for riders who move dynamically on the saddle – from the seat area to the tip of their nose.

Noticeably less pressure, measurably more comfort

S-Works Power Evo Mirror

The new Power Evo with Mirror technology shows significant improvements in pressure measurements:

  • 34,1% less pressure on the nose
  • 28,8% less pressure on the ischial tuberosities
  • 18% less pressure along the saddle's longitudinal axis compared to the previous Power Mirror

These values were validated in an extensive blind test with over 160.000 recorded data points under realistic load scenarios.

Next-generation mirror technology

The heart of the saddle is the advanced Mirror technology, which uses a 3D-printed honeycomb weave made of 40% bio-based liquid polymer. The new structure consists of 47.000 struts and 21.000 Nodes, which provide more targeted and customized support to the rider's anatomy. The construction is designed to be not only more durable and moisture-resistant, but also more sustainable.

S-Works Power Evo Mirror

The new Power Evo with Mirror Technology has been specifically developed to optimize comfort and adaptability for everyday riding. A one-centimeter wider nose offers significantly more support in the front of the saddle and is aimed particularly at riders who frequently shift into an aggressive, forward-leaning position during intense exercise. The so-called "Invisible Cutout" technology provides additional relief in the sensitive perineal area: Instead of a visible cutout, an invisible, softly tuned center piece reduces pressure along the saddle's longitudinal axis – without compromising the structural integrity or appearance of the saddle. The two-centimeter longer seat rails also increase the flexibility during installation and allow for finer adjustment of the seating position. To ensure the most individual fit possible, the Power Evo is available in four different widths (130, 143, 155, and 168 mm) – a crucial factor for ergonomic adaptation to different body types and riding postures.

S-Works Power Evo Mirror

The S-Works Power Evo Mirror is designed for riders who regularly vary their position during intense cycling sessions—such as climbing, sprinting, or time trials. The saddle is approved for use on road, gravel, and XC bikes, but is not suitable for e-bikes or gravity disciplines, as the carbon rails are not designed to withstand extreme vertical loads.

The Specialized S-Works Power Evo with Mirror technology is priced at 449 euros.
