Update to the brand new HPR60 engine from TQ: Relaunch Simplon Rapcon :eTQ and Silk 365 :eLight

June 12, 2025 by Andrew Waldera

Product news: The Simplon Rapcon :eTQ light e-enduro bike is getting an update with the brand-new TQ HPR60 motor. This is the Vorarlberg-based premium manufacturer's response to the completely redesigned TQ Light Assist classic. The Simplon Silk 365 :eLight e-city bike, also equipped with a TQ drive, aims to breathe new life into the dusty image of heavy, bulky full-power e-bikes with its fresh design and state-of-the-art technology.

TQ's award-winning light-assist classic has been completely redesigned, and with it comes a relaunch of the Simplon Rapcon :eTQ and Silk 365 :eLight. Within the same space, the TQ-HPR60 in both bikes offers even more torque and power. At the same time, efficiency has been noticeably increased, noise levels further reduced, and cooling optimized, so that the motor reliably delivers top performance even during continuous use – according to the manufacturer. The perfect coordination of torque, power, responsiveness, battery concept, weight, and design creates a harmonious interplay that, according to Simplon, ensures pure riding pleasure.

Simplon Rapcon :eTQ

The Light-Assist E-MTB with 160 mm of travel, a TQ-HPR60 motor, a 360 Wh internal battery, and an optional range extender (160 Wh) aims to combine a natural ride feel, agility, lightness, and e-power like no other bike. The Rapcon :eTQ is therefore aimed at all mountain bikers looking for an e-MTB optimized for performance, weight, and design, combining all the advantages of a bio-bike with the benefits of an e-bike. The Rapcon :eTQ is available in four equipment packages (Core, Expert, Expert AXS, Ultimate), which, like all Simplon bikes, can be individually customized to personal preferences using the configurator.
