New drop bar bikes from Austria: KTM innovations at Eurobike 2025

June 30, 2025 by Caspar Gebel

KTM innovations at Eurobike 2025: The sporty bike manufacturer is introducing the KTM Gravelator, a completely new frame platform available in carbon and aluminum versions. There are also new features for the Revelator racing bike, as well as carbon wheels now available.

The Austrian manufacturer is refreshing its gravel portfolio with a completely new frame platform. The X-Strada series is being discontinued and replaced by the KTM Gravelator, whose name was naturally inspired by the Revelator racing bike.

KTM Gravelator: Sporty gravel bike with storage compartment

What's new about the Gravelator, which KTM recently unveiled at Eurobike 2025? The completely redesigned frame has been aerodynamically optimized, as evident in the shortened head tube and the tightly fitted fork. The seat tube overhang above the top tube has been eliminated, and the seat clamp is now integrated. The 2025 frame is constructed according to the UDH standard and is compatible with direct-mount derailleurs.

The new carbon frame features an aerodynamically fitted fork and storage compartment in the down tube.

KTM has also given the balanced, sporty frame significantly improved mounting and transport options. Luggage mounts can now be mounted on the fork, and threads for a small bag are provided on the top tube. Added to this is the "FlexiBridge" on the rear triangle, which makes mounting mudguards easier. Particularly striking, however, is the storage compartment located quite high on the down tube, which is equipped with a special bag and whose lid can accommodate additional accessories such as a CO2-cartridge can hold.

A smooth lid covers the storage compartment.
The lid carries a gas cartridge.
An easily accessible pouch holds additional accessories.

Carbon and aluminum models

The new KTM Gravelator Carbon is available in seven variants: The top-of-the-line Gravelator Exonic comes with SRAM Red XPLR AXS and a Zipp 303 XPLR wheelset; the Prime model is equipped with the new SRAM Rival XPLR AXS 1×13 drivetrain and DT Swiss carbon wheels. The KTM Gravelator Master features the new Shimano GRX Di2 1×213 drivetrain. Below this model, there are four variants with Shimano 2×12 and 1×12 drivetrains, two of which are equipped with the new KTM carbon wheels.

The new Gravelator comes with a UDH rear triangle for the new SRAM rear derailleurs.
The Gravelator Aluminium is an affordable alternative.

An aluminum version of the Gravelator is also part of the new model year, as it differs significantly from the aluminum X-Strada with its steeper top tube and higher fork.

KTM offers five models: the Gravelator 10 with Shimano GRX 2×12, the 15 with GRX 1×12, and the 25 with Shimano Cues 1×11. There's also a Gravelator 20 LFC with Cues 2×10 as an everyday gravel bike with StVZO-compliant equipment. The Gravelator 25 with Shimano Cues 1×11 is based on a somewhat simpler frame with quick-release dropouts.

The Revelator Carbon comes in new colors.
In 2025, KTM will launch a successful aluminum racer.

KTM Revelator with new colors and new aluminum version

In the road bike segment, KTM continues to rely on the proven Revelator, which is available in new equipment and color variants – such as the stunning retro paint scheme that the new gravel bike also comes in. Brand new are the KTM Revelator 10 (Shimano 105 2×12) and 15 (Shimano Tiagra 2×10), which are based on a very well-designed aluminum frame: With cleanly smoothed welds and an integrated seat clamp, this bike is visually very similar to the carbon racer.

The new Revelator 10 features an integrated seat clamp…
… and perfectly smoothed welds.

A new innovation from the Austrian sports manufacturer is that the carbon frames from Gra- and Revelator will also be available as framesets for self-assembly. Also brand new are two carbon wheelsets bearing the KTM logo: They will be available for gravel bikes (rim depth 35 mm, rim width 25 mm, weight approx. 1.600 g) and for road bikes (rim depth 30 mm, rim width 22 mm, weight approx. 1.500 g) and are based on the proven Mavic hubs with straight-pull spokes and ratchet freewheels. The wheelsets will cost an attractive €998 each.

The KTM racing wheelset should be 1.500 weigh grams.
The gravel wheels with 35mm carbon rims are also based on Mavic hubs.

Prices and availability of the new models have not yet been determined – but it will definitely be worth waiting a little.
