Pogacar wins confidently in Como
This man is simply unbeatable. Tadej Pogacar (UAE) won the 118th edition of the Tour of Lombardy, securing his fourth consecutive victory in the final Monument of the year. Wearing the world champion's jersey, the exceptional Slovenian attacked 50 kilometers from the finish. In his now almost customary fashion, he effortlessly dropped his rivals and never relinquished his lead. After a total of 255 kilometers from Bergamo to Como, Olympic champion Remco Evenepoel (Soudal – Quick-Step) crossed the finish line in second place, almost three minutes later. Giulio Ciccone (Lidl – Trek) completed the podium .
Only one more win missing to the record
With five victories, Fausto Coppi leads the list of Tour of Lombardy winners. Tadej Pogacar (UAE) is just one win away from this record. The Slovenian won for the fourth time in a row – a feat also achieved by the great Fausto Coppi. Given the current world champion's performance, it's likely only a matter of time before he secures this record as well.
