The new Wahoo TRACKR chest strap:  Innovation meets precision and comfort

June 24, 2024 by Florian Nowak

Product news: Wahoo is not "only" one of the leading providers of high-quality technology for endurance athletes thanks to its high-quality bike computers, because the US manufacturer also keeps setting new standards with its accessories. This is also the case with the latest member of the Wahoo product range. We are talking about the brand new Wahoo TRACKR Heart Rate chest strap. With its advanced technology, the TRACKR Heart Rate sets new standards in heart rate measurement and at the same time impresses with exceptional comfort and an impressive battery life.

The new Wahoo TRACKR Heart Rate is the first chest strap of its kind to feature a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides over 100 hours of battery life. This innovation represents a significant advancement over traditional chest straps that rely on disposable coin cells. With this innovation, Wahoo addresses long-standing concerns about environmental friendliness, performance and ease of use.

The Wahoo chest strap is specially designed to meet the needs of the most demanding athletes. Thanks to an advanced detection algorithm, the strap delivers extremely precise real-time heart rate data, helping users to make their training sessions even more effective and continuously improve their performance. The design of the strap places particular emphasis on high wearing comfort. A non-invasive side closure allows athletes to move freely during training. This well-thought-out construction makes the TRACKR Heart Rate the ideal companion for intensive training sessions, be it in challenging weather conditions or particularly sweaty workouts. With an IPX7 certification, the strap is waterproof and therefore ready for all challenges.

Wahoo TRACKR – Perfect integration into the Wahoo ecosystem

Another outstanding feature of the TRACKR Heart Rate is its seamless compatibility with the extensive Wahoo ecosystem. Supporting ANT+ and multi-Bluetooth technology, the chest strap can be effortlessly connected to various devices such as GPS smartwatches, smartphones and indoor training systems. Compatible apps include Zwift, Strava and Peloton, among others.

"Our goal was to create a device that athletes can rely on - with accurate data, outstanding comfort and seamless integration into their training ecosystem. The TRACKR Heart Rate is designed to meet the needs of the most demanding athletes and gives them the tools to optimize their training and achieve their performance goals." - Gareth Joyce, CEO of Wahoo

The Wahoo TRACKR Heart Rate is the first product in a new line of accessories from Wahoo that will expand throughout this year and into 2025. This product line will include a variety of sensors specifically tailored to the needs of endurance athletes. The goal is to create a fully integrated training ecosystem that supports athletes in achieving their individual performance goals.

The price of the new Wahoo Trackr Heart Rate is 89,99 euros.
