Pogacar climbs to time trial victory

Incredible – incredible – Pogacar! The Slovenian also wins the seventh stage of the Giro d'Italia, making a real statement. Everyone has Filippo Gana (Ineos Grenadiers) have already been congratulated on their victory. The Italian time trial specialist still had a whopping 47 seconds lead at the second intermediate time, around six kilometers from the finish. But then the one who was driving like he was unchained climbed Tadej pogacar (UAE) up the climb and snatched the day's victory from Ganna, who had already been believed to be certain. This means Pogacar is also extending its lead in the overall standings. The Slovenian now leads with 2:36 and 2:46 Daniel Martinez (Bora – hansgrohe) or Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers). Strong also presented himself Maximilian schachmann (Bora – hansgrohe). The German finished fifth in the stage and missed the podium by just 16 seconds. Tomorrow the next challenge awaits the GC riders on the way to Prato di Tivo.
