NC-17 CONNECT 3D One-Click Mount in the test: As a German craft business, NC-17 has been producing high-quality bicycle parts for over 30 years. With your CONNECT series you try to optimize the optimal and safe carrying of smartphones on your bike.
The 3D One-Click Mount mount was specifically developed for rides and tours on asphalt and light terrain. The focus is on low weight and a simple operating concept. Before you buy, you should think about one of the three mounting options, because the mount is available in two different versions for the handlebars and also for the ahead cap. In our test we looked at the classic handlebar assembly.
Smartphone fixed quickly
Installing the holder is simple, self-explanatory and requires no tools. In the first step, the holder is attached with one of the three included soft pads. The adapter is then screwed into the ball socket. In order for the smartphone to fit into the holder, the adapter must be adjusted to the appropriate size. Adjustment is possible using the rotating mechanism on the side. This is a bit difficult to use, but ultimately it works quite well. Finally, the smartphone can be inserted and fixed using the quick-release system. Basically, smartphones including a case with a thickness of up to 15mm can be inserted into the holder.

Good and cheap, but also a lot of plastic
In our practical test, the 3D One-Click Mount impressed us in terms of handling. No built-in adapter is required on the smartphone and it can still be attached to the bike quickly and easily. The design also does not restrict the view of the display or the operation of the buttons. The holder can be easily aligned by loosening the fastening screw and rotated 360°. On our tour, the mount held up well even on forest paths with slight bumps. At no point did we have any doubts that our device was not securely fixed. There are drawbacks on the optical side, because you already mount a lot of plastic on the handlebars.
