Mustache J Automatiq: Versatile SUV e-bike now also with automatic shifting

15 April 2024 by Michael Faiss

Product news: With the Enviolo Automatiq and the Shimano Nexus 5, there are new switching options for the innovative SUV e-bike Mustache J for this season. We have an overview of the individual model variants.

With the Mustache J, the e-bike specialists from France were able to present a real highlight at last year's Eurobike that does many things differently than the competition: from the frame produced in France using the aluminum casting process to the rear triangle concept with a classic drive swing arm. We were able to test the bike itself in detail some time ago - if you are interested in what its advantages are, it's best to click directly into it corresponding article or check out YouTube.

There will now be additional equipment variants for the J this year. Mustache retains the configurator on the website as well as the three basic variants of the innovative touring bike: While the J.on is designed for paved paths, the J.off feels particularly comfortable off-road. The J.all combines the advantages of both variants and should therefore cover the widest range of areas of application.

The versatile J.all now also comes with the Enviolo Automatiq as an option.

There are now more options to choose from when it comes to circuits this season. The biggest innovation is the Enviolo Automatiq on the J.on and J.all. The stepless hub gear adapts its resistance dynamically and fully automatically depending on cadence and speed, thus offering a high level of shifting comfort. If you also select the automatic support level with the built-in Bosch Performance Line motor, you can fully concentrate on the driving experience. Of course, the Enviolo Automatiq is also combined with the low-maintenance carbon belt.

In addition, the J.on now also offers a cheaper option for fans of hub gears: the Shimano Nexus 5. With the new entry-level version, however, you have to do without the carbon belt and make do with a classic hub gear chain.
