Product news: The German premium manufacturer Storck presents its new Aerfast 5 just in time for the start of the season, which, according to the manufacturer, is the youngest member of the Aerfast family and is one of the fastest racing bikes in the world - if not THE fastest racing bike.
While the Storck Aerfast 4 already has a firm place at the top of the fastest racing bikes, the manufacturer has not rested a bit, but has consistently developed the concept of the successful model and managed to set the bar even higher. With a wind tunnel value of a whopping 195 watts according to measurements by the GST Society for Flow Measurement Technology, the Storck Aerfast 5 seems to have set a new record and tops the global best list.
In order to achieve this, the aerodynamics of the new Storck racer were further improved in key areas. The new Aerfast also takes up the tried and tested optimizations of its predecessor with a wider fork and a more aerodynamic handlebar stem unit, while the entire frame was revised in multiple wind tunnel sessions. You can visually see the new head tube at first glance. New UCI guidelines also enable further development of the shapes so that the air flow can be directed even more efficiently to the rear part of the frame.
Through computer-aided frame assignment and the use of high-quality carbon fibers, not only the aerodynamics but also the weight of the new Storck Aerfast 5 could be further reduced, which should have a positive effect on the overall performance. Because a fast racing bike requires much more than “just” great values in the wind tunnel, it is also about the interaction of comfort, handling, power transmission, weight and aerodynamics.
The Storck Aerfast 5 can be seen for the first time from March 7th at the Cape Town Cycle Tour Expo in South Africa, the largest cycling race for everyone in the world. The premiere in Germany will take place at Cycling World Europe on March 15th in Düsseldorf. . At the launch, the aerobike will be presented in the team edition with a blue color gradient, which the Storck Metropolcycling team will show in professional cycling in the future.
