Road bike LED taillight in the test: Sigma Infinity

March 28, 2024 by the editorial office

Sigma Infinity in the test: We took a closer look at the small and light battery-powered LED rear light from Sigma and present our test impressions here.

We noticed the Sigma Infinity right from the start because of its small, compact shape and low weight. For a price of under 20 euros, everything is of high quality. What is striking is the large on/off button on the top of the lamp, which makes it very easy to use.

Our test impression of the Sigma Infinity

packaging and assembly

The Sigma Infinity comes in a completely plastic-free, medium-sized cardboard packaging including a micro-USB cable for charging the taillight. Mounting the lamp on the seat post is very easy with the included rubber strap. The rubber pad on the back of the lamp has a positive effect on ensuring a secure hold. The small gradations of the rubber tension band are very advantageous, so the lamp can be adapted to many different seat post sizes.

Operation and battery life

Operating the Sigma Infinity is very easy as there is only one continuous light mode. It is switched on and off again using the large, smooth-running button on the top of the taillight. The battery life is very long at up to 16 hours, making it the longest in our entire test series. An indicator LED on the top shows the battery level of the taillight: 100-71% no light, 70-11% green light, 10-0% red light. If the indicator LED lights up red, the lamp should be charged immediately. Using the included micro USB cable, charging takes just over 2 hours.

At 24,30 grams including the holder, the Sigma Infinity is very light and compact. The side visibility of 240 degrees ensures additional safety in traffic. With a price of 19,95 euros, we really recommend this rear light.
