Tirreno – Adriatico #3: Bauhaus wins the demanding sprint

Cycling: Phil Bauhaus won the third stage from Tirreno – Adriatico. The German won the demanding sprint in Gualdo Tadino ahead of Jonathan Milan. Jasper Philipsen fell in the last corner. Juan Ayuso remains the overall leader.

Bauhaus celebrates its first win of the season

Stage win for Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain – Victorious). The German sprinter is planning the third section from Tirreno – Adriatico jonathan milan (Lidl – Trek) won in the sprint of a decimated peloton. Perfect from fellow countryman Nickias Arndt (Bahrain – Victorious), Bauhaus can look forward to its first win of the season. Although the stage profile was very demanding, especially towards the end, the well-known sprinters had to figure it out among themselves.



Philipsen falls in the last few meters

Yesterday's stage winner Jasper Phillipsen (Alpecin – Deceuninck) fell in the last corner because he collided with a professional from the Cofidis team. For a long time, the 225-kilometer stage from Volterra to Gualdo Tadino was a one-man show. But the The 26-year-old Italian Samuel Zoccarato (VF Group – Bardiani CSF – Faizanè) was finally brought in on time, controlled by the peloton. The Spaniard continues to be the overall leader in the 59th edition of Tirreno-Adriatico Juan Ayuso (UAE).
