Squeezy dispenser system: The practical and sustainable energy gel alternative

March 12, 2024 by Florian Nowak

Product news: The name Squeezy is likely to be familiar to many athletes who have dealt with the topic of sports nutrition. The German manufacturer of nutritional supplements and sports nutrition is a real pioneer in this field. For example, they were the first manufacturer in the world to bring an energy gel onto the market, thereby raising competition nutrition for athletes of all kinds to a new level. With innovative products and solutions for professionals and amateur athletes, we still have our finger on the pulse today. This also applies to the innovative and refillable Squeezy Dispenser System, which offers a sustainable and inexpensive alternative to the usual gel sachets.

The German manufacturer Squeezy has been offering sports nutrition as it should be for over 30 years. The only inventor of the energy gel puts a clear focus on maximum tolerance under stress, good ingredients and no unnecessary colors and sweeteners in all of his products. The products follow a very simple credo, because according to the company, they shine through minimalization, optimization, weighting and selection of the highest quality ingredients, which are tested together with professional athletes.

Squeezy dispenser

For example, the Squeezy Gels and Liquids enable a multi-stage energy release in order to always provide athletes with the best possible energy. For this purpose, a special maltodextrin mixture is primarily used with a proportion of short and long chain carbohydrate molecules and sugar tailored to the purpose. Some products use additional isomaltulose. This enables a very constant, particularly stomach-friendly energy release.

Squeezy has placed particular emphasis on the topic of sustainability for a long time. In addition to changed production processes, product packaging plays an important role here. These are made from organic sugar cane and recyclable monofilms instead of composites.

The Squeezy Dispenser System

They also thought about whether there was a way to avoid having to package each gel individually, in order not only to save on packaging, but also to simplify handling during competition. Here too, Squeezy is once again a Pinoier and offers all gels and liquids in a new refill and dispenser system.

So-called soft flasks (rubber-like drinking bottles) are used here, which can be filled with 1 liter refill bottles. A soft flask can hold up to 5 energy gels or over 2 liquids, which on the one hand saves a lot of packaging waste and on the other hand is much more efficient for athletes to use. By the way, you also save money on your wallet and benefit from price savings of up to 1% by purchasing the 45-liter refill.

Squeezy Energy Gels and Liquids

The Squeezy Energy Gel was the first of its kind in the world. The finely tuned recipe enables a reliable and predictable energy supply from several carbohydrate sources as well as minerals (sodium, potassium). Thanks to numerous flavor variations, there is something for everyone, from sweet to sweet and sour, fruity, salty and savory. The unusual flavors such as tomato or salty caramel in particular offer a good contrast to the otherwise very sweet Sport Nutrition.
If you want energy without drinking, our new Liquid Energy Gel comes into play. Slightly less gel-heavy and with a similar amount of energy as our gels. Diluted in the right proportion so that you can get by without drinking afterwards. Same principle as the Energy Gels with new flavors such as watermelon. Many athletes don't like sticky and highly concentrated gels and in some sports such as (ultra) trail running or cross-country skiing, supplying them with water is a little more difficult. Squeezy Liquid Energy can be consumed without drinking, tastes very tasty and harmonious. The perfect solution even when stopping is not possible and energy urgently needs to be replenished during competition. The same specifications apply as for our Energy Gel. Developed for maximum tolerance under stress.
An ideal alternative to the Squeezy Energy Gels is the Liquid Gel. This follows the same approach as the classic gel, but is diluted in advance so that there is no need to drink afterwards. Especially during (running) competitions or on hotter days when water and drinks are scarce anyway, it's a great solution to supply yourself with energy and fluids at the same time.

If you need something solid during sport or longer competitions, Squeezy bars are a welcome change from gels and liquids. The Squeezy Energy Bars are put together based on sports science and tested in professional sports for years in order to get a place in the range. All ingredients are well tolerated under long-term exposure, soft, non-sticky and dissolve almost automatically in the oral cavity.
