First aid set Vaude First Aid Kit M in the test
Vaude takes an unusual approach with the First Aid Kit M: The set consists of a waterproof outer bag and a removable inner bag made of thin plastic. The former is made from RipStop fabric in a fair and environmentally friendly way - as we now know from Vaude.
This is on the equipment side First aid kit extensively stocked. If you want less, you can also find a smaller version at Vaude. The workmanship is clean and high quality, but the thin inner pocket gives the impression of a shorter lifespan.

Handling & inner workings
As already mentioned, the first aid kit consists of a protective bag and an inner pocket. The protective bag is closed by rolling with Velcro. The inner pocket can be removed easily and simply. It is then opened and you have access to the four compartments. If you open it too hectically in an emergency situation, individual parts could fall out, but this never happened to us in the test. The utensils are sorted thematically; The four compartments have corresponding symbols and text printed in German and English. Here you will find everything you are looking for. Handling is uncomplicated and practical - it is only marred by the lack of robustness of the inner pocket.
The outside pocket makes a comparatively large, bulky impression. But if you squeeze out the air properly, the pack size becomes significantly smaller and then no longer really differs from the competition.

The first aid kit from Vaude is extensive and equipped for a variety of small and large wounds. Additional things such as blister plasters and very comprehensive instructions with emergency measures complete the package. All we are missing here are tick tweezers and a respiratory aid. When it comes to the number of utensils, the Vaude First Aid Kit M offers enough reserves to supply a group on an Alpine cross, for example. Except for the scissors, the quality of the equipment makes a good impression.
